Si…AMO in Diretta: live play-by-play on wireless headphones for blind and visually impaired fans

Sports belong to everyone.

Silentsystem and the Associazione Marcotti Osvaldo for accessible sports

With the Si…AMO in Diretta project, created by the Associazione Marcotti Osvaldo (A.M.O.) together with Silentsystem, fans with visual impairments can experience soccer and basketball games in a whole new way: through dedicated live commentary streamed to wireless headphones, right in the stands.

Live play-by-play with Silentsystem wireless headphones

With Silentsystem RF systems, participants receive high-definition wireless headphones that carry tailored commentary, designed for people who need more detailed, immersive narration. The experience goes beyond the score and the plays: the commentators’ voices convey the pace, atmosphere and emotion of the stadium or arena, bringing every fan closer to the action.

Young commentators, front and center

One of the best parts of the project is the involvement of young commentators — students and young people with disabilities who take turns at the mic. Each one brings their own sensitivity, enthusiasm and style, turning the commentary into an authentic, one-of-a-kind story.

The result is play-by-play that doesn’t just inform but captures the emotion, creating a direct line between the field and the people in the stands.

Beyond sports: a model for inclusion

Si…AMO in Diretta isn’t limited to a single sport: from soccer to basketball to other sporting and cultural events, it’s a model that can be replicated anywhere there’s a desire to make the experience accessible to all. Silentsystem wireless headphones become a bridge to inclusion, breaking down barriers and giving every fan the chance to feel part of the community.

Soccer and basketball

The format is already running at soccer and basketball games, with dedicated commentators following the action in real time and broadcasting it via RF straight to the headphones of fans in the stands.

Young voices at the mic

Students, young people with disabilities and sports fans take turns calling the game, building communication skills and experiencing the event as key players.

Professional RF technology

High-definition Silentsystem wireless headphones deliver clear, stable, interference-free sound — essential for anyone who relies on audio to experience the event.

Replicable anywhere

The Si…AMO in Diretta model works for any sporting or cultural event that wants to ensure accessibility and inclusion through dedicated wireless audio.

With Si…AMO in Diretta, we’re showing that sports belong to everyone. For us at Silentsystem, being part of this project means putting our technology to work for people.
