For AWS Summit Milano, Silentsystem built a large-scale RF infrastructure that turned a single massive exhibition hall into many independent listening environments: breakouts, sessions and conference areas could share the same space without being acoustically separated with traditional build-outs.
AWS Summit Milano

AWS Summit Milano is one of Italy’s leading events dedicated to cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. The 2026 edition took place at Fiera Milano Rho, with a program spanning keynotes, technical sessions, breakouts, exhibit areas and networking.
With so many sessions and content tracks running at the same event, the audio had to work at scale, keeping the different listening areas independent and limiting the sound overlap typical of high-density exhibition spaces.
Over 5,000 headphones. 30 audio zones. An RF infrastructure designed to handle many simultaneous content tracks within the same event.
The challenge: 30 audio zones in the same space
When dozens of sessions run at the same time in a large exhibition space, the challenge isn’t just amplifying sound: it’s creating truly independent listening environments without multiplying walls, dividers, structures and sound systems.
In a traditional conference setup, breakout rooms and parallel sessions often require the spaces to be physically and acoustically separated. With Silent Conference, the separation becomes virtual: each area has its own audio content, and attendees receive it directly on their headphones.
Silentsystem RF technology makes it possible to set up breakouts, parallel sessions and conference areas even close to one another, making the most of the available space and cutting setup time, complexity and costs.
30 audio zones
Different sessions and content can coexist within the same event while keeping their audio streams separate.
5,000+ headphones
An infrastructure sized to distribute thousands of devices and handle a large audience throughout the entire day.
Individual listening
Every attendee receives the content directly on their headphones and can adjust their own listening volume.
Virtually separated spaces
Headphone delivery lets multiple sessions share the same room, reducing the need for physical partitions and limiting sound overlap between areas.
The Silentsystem solution: one venue, many virtual rooms
For AWS Summit Milano, Silentsystem set up a distributed RF system capable of serving over 5,000 headphones and 30 audio zones.
The project required not just the hardware, but also planning the RF infrastructure, the headphone distribution and the operational management of the different areas.
Each zone could work as an independent listening environment. Attendees heard the audio for their own session directly on their headphones, while other content could run just a few feet away without the need for as many physically isolated rooms.
Silent Conference separates the audio without necessarily separating the space. The benefit isn’t only acoustic: it lets you make better use of the venue’s floor space, speed up setup, and cut the structures, cabling and costs of building multiple traditional rooms.
Up to 60 channels for conferences and interpretation
The Silentsystem multichannel architecture can scale up to 60 audio channels, handling far more complex conference setups than a single listening area.
Channels can be used for parallel sessions, breakouts and different content, or to deliver multiple languages at international conferences. That way, the same RF infrastructure can also serve as the listening system for simultaneous interpretation.
BREAKOUTS, PLENARIES AND INTERPRETATION. ONE RF INFRASTRUCTURE.
Multiple audio programs and languages can be delivered at the same time, so each attendee can listen to the content meant for their session.
Where the project allows, this approach can also reduce the need for dedicated audio installations and some of the physical infrastructure traditionally used to separate rooms and interpretation services. The setup is defined case by case based on the venue, the number of sessions and the technical needs of the event.

RF infrastructure and technical management
An event of this size requires hardware, frequencies, distribution and technical support to be treated as parts of the same system.
| System | Role at the event |
|---|---|
| RF wireless headphones | Over 5,000 devices for individual listening to the different sessions running throughout the event. |
| Multichannel transmission | Simultaneous delivery of independent audio streams to the different operating areas. |
| RF Planning | Planning the frequencies and coverage needed to run many audio zones within the same exhibition space. |
| Technical support | Setup and management of the infrastructure needed to keep the system running throughout the event. |
RF design makes it possible to coordinate different listening areas within the same venue while keeping content separate. That’s the principle behind Silent Conference: using multichannel audio to create virtual audio rooms and make conferences with many simultaneous sessions far more flexible to organize.
